@CHIP-RTOS C Library - RTOS API
Get a tagged entry from the global data registry.
const void far * far RTX_GetPublication(const char far *nameTag);
- Name of the desired public data
(zero terminated ASCII string). .
- NULL if not found, else a far data pointer stored under this
name by a RTX_Publish() call.
- Data posted for global access (usually by some other program)
can be accessed by name tag with this API. The @CHIP-RTOS-x86
maintains a registry of such tagged data that has been posted
by application programs.
The content of the object referenced by the far pointer
returned from this API is application defined.
This API's return value is declared as a pointer to an
opaque read-only object (const
). This can be cast to
a non-constant object pointer when your design calls
for read/write access to the registered global object by
a client program.
The name tag match is done in a case sensitive manner.
Only up to 23 characters before a terminating NIL character
are significant. Any following the first 23 characters
will be ignored (effective name truncated).
- This library function invokes a RTOS software interrupt
to install a dynamic link into the RTOS.
Refer to this RTOS API function's
for more details.
