CHIP.INI [PROBE]

[PROBE]
AUTOSTART=0/1

The debugger PROBE task will be started automatically at system startup time when this value is set to 1. The PROBE task provides the GDB Server functionality required by the GNU GDB debugger.
Default:
If safe mode is off, the debugger PROBE will be started. If safe mode is on, the debugger PROBE will not be started per default.
Example:
 [PROBE]
 AUTOSTART=1
Since:
SC2x3 V1.00
See also:
PROBE shell command

[PROBE]
BAUD=baud rate

This entry specifies the RS-232 BAUD rate to be used for UART port communication between external debugger and the debugger PROBE (GDB Server). Supported BAUD rate values are 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600 and 115200.

This setting can be overriden by entries on the shell's PROBE command line.
Default:
Default BAUD rate is 115200.
Example:
 [PROBE]
 BAUD=19200
Since:
SC2x3 V1.00
See also:
PROBE shell command

[PROBE]
COM=UART port

This entry specifies the RS-232 UART port to be used for communication between the external debugger and the PROBE. Valid devices are UART1, UART2, ..., UART6.

This setting can be overriden by entries on the shell's PROBE command line.
Default:
By default, the UART ports are not used by the PROBE. The TCP/IP communication is instead used.
Example:
 [PROBE]
 COM=UART3
Since:
SC2x3 V1.00
See also:
PROBE shell command

[PROBE]
OPTIONS=command line options

The command line options that would be used when invoking the PROBE can be listed here. This provides an alternative method for specifying values designed with the [PROBE] BAUD, COM, PORT, and PRIO INI entries. This entry will override any of these other settings, when conflicts arise.

This entry is intended for use with the [PROBE] AUTOSTART INI entry. If PROBE is instead started from the shell command line, then these values will be used only if no command line arguments are given from the console.

The example below would select a RS-232 BAUD rate of 19200 on UART 3 while also listening on TCP/IP port 4000.
Default:
No default.
Example:
 [PROBE]
 OPTIONS=B19200 C3 P4000
Since:
SC2x3 V1.00
See also:
PROBE shell command

[PROBE]
PORT=TCP/IP port number

This entry specifies the TCP/IP port to be used for communication between the external debugger and the PROBE.

This setting can be overriden by entries on the shell's PROBE command line.
Default:
The default port number is 3000.
Example:
 [PROBE]
 PORT=3000
Since:
SC2x3 V1.00
See also:
PROBE shell command

[PROBE]
PRIO=task priority

This entry specifies the PROBE task's priority.

This setting can be overriden by entries on the shell's PROBE command line.
Default:
The default priority is 15.
Example:
 [PROBE]
 PRIO=15
Since:
SC2x3 V1.00
See also:
PROBE shell command
