CHIP.INI [PROBE]

[PROBE]
AUTOSTART=0/1

The debugger task will be started automatically at system startup time when this value is set to 1. The task provides the GDB server functionality required by the GNU GDB debugger.
Default:
If safe mode is off, the debugger PROBE will be started. If safe mode is on, the debugger PROBE will not be started per default.
Example:
[PROBE]
AUTOSTART=1
Since
V0.80

[PROBE]
PRIO=task priority

This entry specifies the PROBE task's priority. Legal values are in the range 0-90.
Default:
The default priority is 15.
Example:
[PROBE]
PRIO=15
Since
V0.86

[PROBE]
WDG=0/1

Sometimes it is helpful to disable the watchdog when debugging. In this case this entry can be set to zero to disable the watchdog functionality without changing the application code.
Default:
By default the watchdog functionality is enabled.
Example:
[PROBE]
WDG=0
Since
V1.08

[PROBE]
COM=UART port

This entry specifies the RS-232 UART port to be used for communication between the external GDB debugger and the GDB server functionality. Valid devices are UART1, UART2, ...
Default:
By default, the UART ports are not used by the PROBE. The TCP/IP communication is instead used.
Example:
[PROBE]
COM=UART5
Since
V1.21

[PROBE]
BAUD=baud rate

This entry specifies the RS-232 BAUD rate to be used for UART port communication between external GDB debugger and the GDB server functionality.
Default:
Default BAUD rate is 115200.
Example:
[PROBE]
BAUD=19200
Since
V1.21

[PROBE]
PORT=TCP/IP port number

This entry specifies the TCP/IP port to be used for communication between the external GDB debugger and the GDB server functionality.
Default:
The default port number is 3000.
Example:
[PROBE]
PORT=3000
Since
V1.21
