The Web cam with the IPC@CHIP®.
The @CHIPcam digitalis a standard video composite signal from a CCD camera and processes it further within the IPC@CHIP® to TCP/IP. A dedicated compression Chip was used to transform the image to JPG standard. The DMA(Direct Memory Access) available as a standard on the IPC@CHIP® is being used to read this compressed data from the compression chip at high speed. The obtained image has a resolution of 320 x 240 Pixel.
