SNMP

Increased demand for the SNMP protocol on the IPC@CHIP® made this special section see the light. It gives an overview of the available SNMP software possibilities.

The following IPC@CHIP® application is a SNMPV1 Proxy Agent example with C source code. The Agent is able to process and reply to incoming GET, SET and GET NEXT requests. Sending of SNMP trap messages via Port 162 is also supported.

The example requires basic understanding of the SNMP protocol architecture.

The RTOS API Documentation contains the Management Information Base (MIB) data structures residing inside of the @CHIP-RTOS TCP/IP stack.

These structures are only available in @CHIP-RTOS variants which contain the SNMP option. The support of SNMP MIB variables is not a part of our official six @CHIP-RTOS variants. The IPC@CHIP®-RTOS variants which include the SNMP MIB variables are available here:
- RTOS SC12 - Version 1.10
- RTOS SC13 - Version 1.00
- RTOS SC11 - Version 1.00
