add-ons
The IPC@CHIP® platform controllers come factory shipped with all the most important functions for control and communication tasks. Other application-related functions can be added simply by using hardware and software add-ons. In this way, you are always up to date with state-of-the-art technology.
Wireless technologies
Whenever wired solutions are unsuitable.
Now that Ethernet is already firmly established in the field of automation, the use of wireless technology such as Wireless LAN and Bluetooth are now gaining in popularity.
Wireless-LAN
Its transparent TCP/IP communication, wide range and high level of security make Wireless LAN an ideal alternative when wire-based Ethernet connections are unsuitable.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth is ideal as a standard interface for mobile devices, particularly for use in service and maintenance tasks.
GSM/GPRS
The GMS network is suitable for a world wide data transmission. For industrial applications e.g. remote maintenance and telecontrol, the data are transmitted as either SMS or in GPRS mode.
Graphics
Modern, fully graphical TFT displays with touch option In addition to controller and communication functions, many embedded applications also need a user interface for operation, setting parameters and for displaying operating states. The GC01 Graphic Controller for the IPC@CHIP® SC123/143 makes it easy to fit IPC@CHIP®-based applications with a graphic touch display. As usual, an entry level function kit – the FK61-GC01 Function Kit – is also available.
EtherCAT
The Ethercat real-time bus as a slave solution. The add-on kit for the fast and cost-efficient development of intelligent EtherCAT slave solutions based on IPC@CHIP® SC123/SC143. It contains a function board with an EtherCAT slave module, a software CD and an Ethernet cable.
