The IPC@CHIP® SC23 is now available. Many applications place importance on the easy handling of an embedded controller with small and medium-sized quantities, in addition to its performance and features. The new IPC@CHIP® SC23 is designed to target these applications, and with its DIL32 module housing is particularly suitable for handling, production and logistic solutions, whilst at the same time featuring the state-of-the-art technology of the latest SC123/SC143 controller in a BGA format. The SC23 is designed for use in a DIL32 socket, a computer on module, and can therefore be easily exchanged during production and service.

Bluetooth for industrial use Next to USB, the Bluetooth standard is now increasingly establishing itself as a replacement for the serial interface. Typical maintenance tasks for which a proprietary service device had previously been required can now be implemented using a laptop, PDA or cell phone. In aggressive environments involving a high pollution degree or stringent hygiene requirements, this inexpensive wireless technology furthermore offers cost benefits compared to the use of costly insulated connectors.

Programming, communicating and visualization – with an embedded solution Graphical user interface for the IPC@CHIP®
In addition to controller and communication functions, many embedded applications also need a user interface for operation, setting parameters and for displaying operating states. The latest full graphics TFT displays with touch options offer here maximum user-friendliness and optimum flexibility since it is possible to design both display and input as required via the software – with the usual level of convenience.
The GC01 Graphic Controller for the IPC@CHIP® SC123/143 makes it easy to fit IPC@CHIP®-based embedded applications with a graphic touch display.

BestPersAward 2007 - Personnel Work in Medium-Sized Company Sector Beck IPC Awarded the BestPers Certificate
What is a good employer? Clearly this involves many different aspects. However, in each case, a good employer needs good personnel work as part of a complete corporate strategy. This has been both recognised and implemented at Beck IPC.
In an award ceremony held at the University of Siegen, 37 companies were presented with the BestPers Certificate as a sign of quality for good personnel work. Beck IPC took part in this competition for the first time and managed to reach the top ten in three of the 10 categories. These three categories were: Future compatibility, communication and personnel recruitment.

Beck IPC presents new software development environment for the IPC@CHIP® With its own edition of the well-known Paradigm C++ Professional development environment, Beck IPC GmbH is launching the latest integrated C/C++ development environment for the IPC@CHIP® Embedded Web Controller family.<br>
The software development environment features many benefits for the developer: The compiler generates program code that is up to 15 % more compact. The RTOS API and C Library documentation have been integrated in the Help system, and new functions in the Editor, such as Visual Assist and Source Code Browsing, simplify daily development tasks. This tool thus considerably optimizes software development for the IPC@CHIP® Embedded Controllers.

IEC61131-3 and Automation Alliance Conformity The programming and configuration of controllers in IEC61131-3 has now become an absolute necessity. However, the proprietary programming systems for special customized controllers are no longer state-of-the-art. Adapting IEC61131-3 compliant programming systems is also time consuming and normally only worthwhile with large unit quantities. This gap has now been filled with Beck IPC's new Embedded Web Controller IPC@CHIP® with the CoDeSys SP runtime system.
